What is a Consultation?

This is the first step in your dog's training program!

  • We will spend this time observing your dog, creating a training plan, choosing the proper training tools, and discussing any behavior issues

  • We will go over any questions and concerns

Is a Consultation Required?

Yes! A consultation is required for any services you are interested in. This is because we need to get to know your dog and see what services they are better suited for.

Not all programs/services match your dogs’ needs, we want to make sure we pick the right training plan.

I was told I need to do a private session before I can attend group classes, why is that?

While you may want your pup to join group classes from the get-go, group classes are not a good fit for all pups. If you have a reactive dog or have any other behavioral issues, they may need to attend one, or a few private sessions (as advised by the trainer during consultation) before they can join a group class.

This is because your pup may be too stressed, or overly stimulated, to complete the group classes. A private session will allow you to work one-on-one with a trainer in order to better address these issues, prior to joining group classes. Once the behavioral issues have been addressed, or when the trainer believes your dog can start group classes, you will be notified and allowed to sign up for these classes.

What types of training do you offer?

I offer a variety of training services, including basic and advanced obedience, behavior modification, reactivity training, confidence building, and aggression management. I also provide puppy training programs, day training, and specialized activities like AKC C.G.C. evaluations.

How long does training take to see results?

Every dog is unique, so results vary depending on the dog’s temperament, the type of training, and your consistency at home. Some dogs show progress within a few sessions, while others may take longer, especially for more complex behaviors.

What is the best age to start training my dog?

Training can start as early as 8 weeks old, once your puppy is vaccinated! I also offer a specialized program for puppies up to 7 months old, focusing on socialization, desensitization, and foundational obedience to set them up for lifelong success.
